The SP 1000 is a modified version of the Hook Separator SP 2000 which also uses Magnets, placed in a special designed pattern to guide the hooks onto one of the two Hook Catcher Plates.  This hook catching methodology is highly efficient, has no moving parts, all while keeping maintenance to a minimun.   The SP 1000 is made of heavy-duty stainless steel and includes composite sheaves.   The pressure wheel is spring loaded.   The special hook guide design reduces wear on hooks and gear while ensuring efficient racking results.  The Hook Separator SP 1000 can be delivered with a larger 315 motor which can then be used as the main hauling unit when fishing in shallow water.

Operational Function
The main function of the Hook Separator unit is to pick up the hooks and guide them onto the storage magazines. This is done automatically and consistently as the gear is hauled onboard. A secondary function is that the unit is also a Slack Taker keeping tension on the gear coming from the main hauler. The Hook Separator SP 1000 can operate efficiently at high speeds and thereby allow the vessel to haul back more gear per day.

Optional functions
The Hook Separator SP 1000 can also be delivered with a High Pressure Water Pump and accessories, which will give the additional functions of Twist Remover and Gear Cleaner.  With a OMPW 315 hydraulic motor, the unit will function as a combination Main Hauler / Hook Separator. This alternative will save deck space and reduce total cost.
